Moody Photography:
The Dramatic Shots Without the Terrifying Drama

Dark, cinematic, moody wedding photography on digital and film

LET's TALK

AUSTRALIA & FINLAND — WEDDING PHOTOGRAPHER

This isn't a drive-through service. I'm not going to turn around 900 photos in 48 hours that all look the same. I'm going to spend an embarrassingly long time finessing your gallery until every single frame feels exactly right because I genuinely cannot send you something I'm not proud of.
If you want fast, there are photographers who do fast really well. If you want obsessed-over, keep reading.

No Rules, No Fake Poses, No Stuck in Old Traditions, Just two badass humans and Love.

I'm not the photographer who shows up with a shot list and a poses guide. I show up with a genuine need to find the real version of you. The one who forgets the camera is there, who looks at their partner like nobody else is in the room, who laughs so hard they pee a little and doesn't care who sees it.
I'm probably not right for everyone. But if you've been scrolling through photographer after photographer feeling like something is missing, I might be exactly what you've been looking for.

Hey, I'm Heidi, the face behind Miss Moody.
I grew up in Finland, spent time in Sweden and England, and somehow ended up in Australia. I've always been looking for somewhere I belonged. Turns out that feeling of being between two worlds ended up in my work too.

I disappear into my editing cave for a while. Longer than you might expect. Because I can't send you something I'm not proud of. When your gallery arrives it won't feel like a file delivery. It'll feel like opening something crafted and timeless, full of moody images with a rich, cinematic feel.

We talk. Actually talk. About your venue, your vision, the feeling you're chasing. I ask questions that might surprise you. I want to know what matters most because this is about storytelling and capturing more than coverage before I show up with a camera.

I'm calm. Quieter than you might expect. Couples who are drawn to this style usually aren't  looking for a polished aesthetic so much as something honest. I'm not gathering everyone up every twenty minutes for group shots. I'm the one in the corner catching real life and emotion, or the burst of laughter that might make you cry later.

What it actually feels like to work with me.
