You don’t have to go far to get variety. Heritage buildings, industrial textures, wide open spaces and a proper pub are all close together, so you can have a few different looks without spending your whole wedding in a car.
I’ve photographed weddings at The Broken Hill Pub, at the Broken Hill Golf & Country Club, and on private properties and in backyards. Each one felt completely different, and each one was exactly right for the couple. A backyard wedding with your nearest and dearest is just as good a place for great photographs as a venue with a view.
This is the one thing I’ll nudge you about. Out there, the light is a big part of how your photos feel. Harsh in the middle of the day, glowing when the sun gets low.
So tell me your ceremony time and I’ll help you plan portraits for the best light, and for how long you actually want to be away from your guests. When the sun goes down, I bring flash so the party still gets photographed properly.
The thing I hear most is “we’re awkward in front of the camera.” Good. I’ll give you direction when it helps, like where to stand, what to do with your hands, or a quick fix for a veil. Then I’ll get out of the way and let the day happen.
You won’t see everything that happens at your own wedding. Your dad trying not to cry. Your nan watching from the front row. Your best friend losing it during the speeches. I’ll be watching all of it, because you can’t know yet which photograph will matter most.
Wedding collections start from $4,100 for six hours of coverage, with full-day options if you’d like film, video or a handcrafted album. You’ll get a sneak peek within 48 hours, and your full gallery within 10 weeks, edited by me, by hand. My Weddings page has the full details.
I’m based in Mildura and I’m very happy to travel, so Broken Hill is an easy trip for me. I also photograph weddings across Sunraysia, regional Victoria and beyond. Travelling to you doesn’t make it a different kind of wedding, it just means I’m there with you.

Do you travel to Broken Hill for weddings? Yes. I’m based in Mildura, a few hours away, and I photograph weddings and elopements in Broken Hill.
How far ahead should I book? I suggest 12 to 18 months, especially for popular spring and autumn dates. If your date is closer, still get in touch and I’ll tell you honestly what’s possible.
Can we meet before we book? Of course. We can do a coffee, a glass of wine or a Zoom, and I’m happy to talk through your timeline and the light.
Tell me the date and where it is, and what you’re most excited about (and what’s stressing you out). I read every enquiry myself and reply personally within 48 hours. Tell me about your wedding, or take a look at my Broken Hill wedding photography page.
